Today I’m going to try and go over some of the issues facing warlocks today in pve, in a “state of …” type post, they seem to be rather popular to be written about now. I’m going to try and stay away from listing “fixes”, blizzard has a ridiculous number of tuning nobs these days, they can fix things without to much hassle.
I also think that while all of our specs pull “respectable” DPS numbers, that doesn’t mean we aren’t “broken” and don’t have issues pertaining to the class. To quote a blue from some time ago (I believe it was GC at last years blizzcon, but I could be wrong), if the best rogue spec was to sit at range and spam knife throws/fan of knifes to do competitive DPS, that would be broken and in need of being fixed. While I don’t think we are in quiet as a extreme case as that, I believe we do have issues that could be looked at.
Also, in advance, I’m sorry, this sorta ended up being a bit of a wall of text, possibly the biggest I’ve ever written on here.
So today, for my first post in months, I’m going to talk about something very ‘meta game’. I’m going to talk about balance in general, over all DPS classes/specs, then I’m going to try and tie it back to warlocks, and to some degree all classes, and why some things need to change.

Ok, so you know how to play a warlock post 4.0, but you havn’t bothered to look up @85 changes? You want the cliff notes edition, quick and easy. Well here we go, this is going to be a fairly quick guide to the warlock changes at level 85, our new spells, and a few other important pieces relevant to warlocks.
Perhaps you’ve been to busy with a 11th hour, 59th minute and 58 second kill of LK or some such (I’m STILL trying to get bane, 30% wipe D:) and haven’t had a chance to look things up. Well here it all is.
So a thought in the back on my mind for a while now has been regarding int and healers (for those of you who don’t know, I seem to be drawn to healing on alts >.> I’d like to think I’m ‘ok’ at it at least) , being more specific, the “amazing” stat that int is for healers.
So here today, while bored at work I’m going to share my thought’s regarding this, make some minor conclusions and then talk about whats next. (yes, despite warlocks obvious superiority, I will occasionally talk about something not so warlock related >.>)
